Dzarong Trulshik Shatrul Ngawang Choekyi Lodoe Rinpoche

Originally, this monastery was built in the Shelkar zong in the Tsangprovince of Tibet.  The monastery was named Za-Rong-Fu Ugen Dho Ngak Choeling and its style and practices are that of Choegyal Terdhakling, the reincarnation and the Great Translator Bairochana.  Indeed, it was built in order to spread the Nyingma tradition, a leading sub-religon of Tibetan Mahayana religion.  After the merciless occupation of Chinese over Tibet in the year 1959, the present highest Lama H.E. Dzarong Trulshik Shatrul Rinpoche Nyawang Choekgi Lodoe and Some monks and nuns fled to Nepal I order to take refuge and to preserve the distinguished religious lineage of Thangmey and Shorong Chiwang monasteries. Eventually. H.E. Ngawang Chokyi Lodoe rebuilt in the district of Salleri in the year 1967. At present, over all of monks and nuns are - 250 monks and 150 nuns - most of are Tibetan refugees and rest are Sherpas and other local
