SHREE DO NGAG CHOLING (PHARPING)

The founder of this monastery is Dzatrul Ngawang Tenzin Jigdel Choe Kyi Gyaltsen.  In 1983, he laid the foundation of the monastery, and now the monastery is fully functioning with 37 monks in residence.

 

Special Dharma events include:

In every month on 10th of Tibetan Calendar, Tsog offering through Minling Lama Sangdu.

On 25th the Tsogs offering through Mingling Thugje Chenpo Dekun

On 29th Shernying Due Tog. Protector Puja Ngoerd Shungsang and Mipham Torkul etc. 

For ten days in the year in 5th of 1st Month till 15th, there will be Mingling Dorsem Puja along with Drubkhog Rildrub.

 

On the 1st and 2nd of 2nd month, 1-lakh Tsog offering for Mingling Thukthig on account of Choegyal Terdag, Lingpa’s Paranirvana.

From 12th to 16th on Saga Dava, 5 days Nyungne by performing Puja to Jowo Thukje Chenpo (Lord of great Compassion). 

 

On 4th of 6th month is a day of first Buddha Teaching at Sarnath on four noble truths, so on this day we perform Gyagnen Lhasong Chenmo and Tsog offering to Mingling Tsechok. 

On 10th of 6th month of Tibetan Calendar, big Tsog offering by Mingling Sangdue on birth anniversary of the Great Second Buddha Ugyen Rinpoche “Padmasambhava.” 

From 27th to 29th, for three days in 10th month, there will be Mingling Phurpai Tortsok

1st to 7th in the 11th month, there will be Tara Puja recitation of around 1 lakh. 

On 18th of 12th month, there will be big Tsog offering of Rigzin Thukthig on the Kunkhyen Longchenpa Chenpo’s anniversary. 

 

From 23rd to 29th in 12th month, there will be great Tortdog Chenmo at the finishing of the year by Mingling Gurdrag.

Every morning, all the monks do Mingling prayer for two-hour and Ghongter Drolchok (Tara Puja) and praying for incense offering Puja.  Every evening, for two hours, protector Puja, Drolue Dagke (Sadhana) along with Minling Ngoeral, and also Dedication chapter from Budhicitta, three aspects of prayers and prayer to prevail the teaching of Nyingma tradition etc. these prayers will be done every day.

 

They are practicing memorization of the Minling’s prayer and Torma offering prayer, protecting and accumulating the preliminary prayers through Mingling Thukje Chenpo Dekun (The great compassion), monks are presently studying on Kunsang Lamai Shellung, Khejug by Je Mipham, Commentary of Dhomsum (Three Commitments) and commentary of Bodhicitta, and eventually we are hoping and expecting with great desire to study on Pranyapramita text such as Nyeshe Dronme (Light of Certaintya) in order to gain the knowledge of words and meaning of the Text.
