The second incarnation of Jamgon Kongtrul’s main and closest disciple Dolpo Sree Choktrul Rinpoche offered a full monastery and named it Dolpa Shinang Tsag Gompa.  Later, he made it into a retreat center and hostler monks.

In India he created one monastery at Saran-Simla, as requested by the local people.

As per the wishes of the Rinpoche, all the retreat centers and monasteries are continuously practicing under the management of the Ananda organization. Near the monastery one old Nepali local school Jan Jagriti has been renovated and 13 new classrooms were made.  At present there are 450 students.  The new classrooms enabled both the teachers and students to have a proper atmosphere of learning.   Some years ago in Kathmandu an Australian was planning to build Til Ganga eye hospital near the Kathmandu airport.  Rinpoche has sponsored a fund for the operation, theater, patients dormitory and class room which are all in one flat.

This eye clinic was built in memory of the third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche.  All the surgical services are free of cost if the patients are proved to be genuinely poor and needy.
