Sanding Monastery

Built in the mid-14^th century and located at the bank of the beautiful, jade like lake Yamdro Yumtso in Nhagartse County, Sanding Monastery is one the major monasteries of Sanpa Gagukpa Sect. What’s more significant is that it is the only monastery, which is traditionally hosted by a female living Buddha in Tibetan Buddhism history.
