Chakhachode Temple

  Chakhachode a temple

Built in the late 16th century with an area of 2000 square meters, Chakhachode is a temple of Gelukpa Sect erected under the guidance of the 3rd Dalai Lama. The temple has large numbers of murals concerning numerous subjects. At present, the houses of monks have been destroyed but the main shrine is preserved.
