THEME OF THE CONFERENCE
MEANINGFUL CAREER, MINDFUL TIBETAN
CONFERENCE PURPOSE STATEMENT
This conference seeks to bring together Tibetan university students from North America
with the goal of providing a forum which aims to fulfill the following purposes:
Lay the foundation to develop a Tibetan student support system through a strong and community-minded network;
Stimulate, in light of educational opportunities available in North America, reflection on career planning with long-term consideration of the individual and community interests;
Emphasize the importance of an in-depth understanding of current realities in Tibet and one's own responsibility.

Presentation by Yangchen Lhamo Chagzoetsang (Stanford University). Yangchen Lhamo spent several months learning Chinese language at the Beijing Normal University and Beijing University.
