Rigdzin Namkha Gyatso Rinpoche's Biography
Rigdzin Namkha Gyatso Rinpoche was born in 1967 in Dza-Chu-Kha, in Tibet’s Kham province. His father, Thupten Sherab, and his mother, Dawa Sherab, called him Drupa Tharchin. Both his father and grandfather were nagkpas, the last of an eighteen-generation long lineage of yogis. Before he died, his father told him to be particularly careful, since he represents the 18th generation of this lineage. Therefore, since his early childhood, he became involved in activities related to Dharma, the law taught by the Buddha.
