Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche

Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, born in 1966, is the grandson and spiritual

heir of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, one of the greatest luminaries

of Tibetan Buddhism in this century. He was the teacher of many

important lamas including the Dalai Lama and Trungpa Rinpoche.

Rabjam Rinpoche began taking teachings on his revered grandfather's,

lap at the age of three and today holds this unbroken lineage.

He was raised by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and attended almost every

drupchen (long ceremony),empowerment and teaching that he gave.

He traveled throughout the world with Khyentse Rinpoche,

first visiting the West in 1976.

Possessing a gentle and compassionate nature, Rabjam Rinpoche's

compelling energy and power make him an important young teacher

for these times. Since his grandfather's passing in 1991,

Rabjam Rinpoche is taking over the responsibilities of transmitting

Khyentse Rinpoche's teachings and is bringing his vision of the

preservation of Tibetan Buddhist teaching and culture to fruition.
